"I work mainly in acrylics on a variety of surfaces. Much of my work emerges from my interest in human beings and their various searchings for fulfilment. I hope to convey a healthy blending of 'the earthly' and 'the spiritual' which is to be found in every day life both past and present. I paint from experience and imagination rather than by reference to places or photographs. I hope to prompt in those viewing my work a continual dialogue, as they bring their own experiences and imagination to influence what they see and understand when considering my work. It is important to me that questions are perpetually raised, things left unsaid and situations left unresolved, in order that the view can actively participate in providing his or her own interpretation of the artist's theme. This is particularly important when interpreting the Stations of the Cross and other spiritual works."
